Work Diary Week 1: Formed our group in the first tutorial and got to know each other a little bit. We decided our group name and created our group on WebCMS. We were told to create our JIRA and choose a Scrum Master, which I volunteered for. Week 2: We got a new group member! We got to know him a little bit. We created our GitHub and decided on our sprint dates. We all had a proper read of the Proposal due in 2 weeks. We scheduled a time to call in the week so that we can decide on our user stories. We also discussed potential system architecture. Week 3: We had some questions about the proposal so we asked our tutor Rachid. We finalised our decisions in preparation for the proposal due next week and noted down things we needed to do to get the proposal finished. As the Scrum Master, I allocated parts of the proposal to complete by everyone. I set up the proposal draft document so everyone could start formatting and adding in the parts they were responsible for. Week 4: We finalised our proposal on Sunday night and I submitted our final document to Moodle. We received some feedback from our tutor Rachid. Our first sprint officially started this week so we allocated user stories for everyone to complete. We had a call in which Caleb set the project up and gave us a demo of the basics. Week 5: We had a few calls so that we could ask each other for help and program together. I realised that I couldn't test the code I was writing as I was on a Mac and could not access the database. This was a hinderance in my contribution as I could not access the pages to see changes I made. We noted this issue as something to fix for the next sprint. We had our first demo which overall went smoothly. We realised a few problems that we needed to fix for the next sprint during our demo. Rachid also gave some feedback about profile customisation to work on for the next sprint. We had our retrospective meeting after the demo. Week 6: This was flexibility week. I had other assignments with more urgent deadlines and worked on them instead. Week 7: The retrospective was due this week. I began working on my tasks for Sprint 2 this week and got more familiar with razor files. I also learnt a bit more about html. Week 8: We had our second demo this week which went quite smoothly again. We were all quite happy with the progress so far. Excited to see the finished product. Week 9: This week the second retrospective was due. We realised we needed to focus more on the teamwork effort and experience in our 'Actions To Take'. We made more of an effort to focus on that aspect. The deadline was coming up soon so we had a few meetings to cover what we needed to get done before the submission due date. We met up periodically to check up on how everyone was going and how our project was tracking. Week 10: We made a final push before the submission due date to correct bugs that we noticed while testing our website and to finalise our Project Report. I added a feature to update profiles with profile images and a bio. I couldn't fix an issue with retaining the old one if a new profile image wasn't uploaded. Caleb was able to help me fix this bug and finish this functionality. Our final product is looking really good and I am quite proud of how far we've come in a short couple of weeks. I've gotten to know my team members in this process which has been enjoyable. It has also been great being able to learn from each other.
